Stated Purpose
"to enhance the dignity and quality of life of individuals and families by strengthening communities, eliminating barriers to opportunity, and helping people in need reach their full potential through learning and the power of work."
Goodwill Industries International (GII) facilitates member-to-member sharing, knowledge transfer, and direct and supportive services to assist members in providing local community mission services. Direct services to members include consultations, executive professional development, training seminars, data processing and analysis, assistance in the development of national and local communications materials, and a loan program provided by Goodwill Mission and Job Creation Services (GMJCS). Sponsored programs and grants include efforts to equip autonomous local Goodwill organizations to enhance career navigation, skills training, credentialiing, financial wellness, and diversity, inclusion and equitable outcomes services; to connect persons served to improved job and career opportunities; to develop higher quality job opportunities for people with disabilities and disadvantages; to improve workforce development systems for diverse populations, and to build family economic success. Support services to membership include international activities, government relations, and strategic sourcing.
