Every Mother Counts (EMC) advances evidence-based strategies to address the global maternal health crisis and improve maternal health outcomes and the experience of care for all, with the overarching goals to strengthen community-centered care and diversify the maternity care workforce. The organization raises awareness about the maternal health crisis through education, storytelling, media, events, and campaigns; invests in community-led solutions with the potential of high impact; and advocates for critical systems change. As reported by the organization, EMC invested nearly $4.2 million in 48 organizations and programs across nine countries during 2023. Collectively, EMC grantees reached 177,414 people with maternal and reproductive healthcare and support.
