Patient Advocate Foundation (PAF) assists patients with obtaining access to and reimbursement for prescribed healthcare free of charge. The organization serves as an active liaison between the patient and their insurer, employer or creditors, helping to resolve matters related to their diagnosis. PAF's Co-Pay Relief program provides financial assistance relating to pharmaceutical treatments and prescription medication co-payments. The organization also provides educational resources, small grants for low income individuals, and educational scholarships for students who have been diagnosed with, or treated for, a cancer or chronic disease. In 2019, PAF reports that it offered co-payment assistance to 75,580 patients, distributed 54,747 publications, offered case management support to 24,594 patients, provided 1,646 small grants to patients, and awarded 25 scholarships for the 2019-2020 academic year.
