Parkinson's Foundation reports that it works to bring together medical professionals, researchers, and those affected by Parkinson's to advance research for treatments and a cure, improve care for everyone with Parkinson's, and educate the Parkinson's community. The organization operates a global network of 54 Centers of Excellence. The centers work to improve the quality of life for people with Parkinson's by educating nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech-language therapists, and social workers.
