"to unite, represent, serve, and support abortion providers in delivering patient-centered, evidence-based care."
National Abortion Federation (NAF) reports that it is is the professional association of abortion providers. The organization reports it has more than 400 members including private and non-profit clinics, women?s health centers, physicians? offices, and hospitals, which, together, care for approximately half the women who choose abortion in the U.S. and Canada each year. Additionally, NAF members include public hospitals and public and private clinics in Mexico City and private clinics in Colombia. The organization's programs provide 24/7 security support and emergency assistance to members; continuing medical education in abortion care; technical assistance and training; quality assurance services, and representation in the media. In 2018, NAF reports it conducted 100 quality assurance site visits at 35 facilities throughout the Americas, 66 onsite security trainings and assessments, and 17 in-depth technical assistance and training visits at member sites.
