Children's Health Fund meets the 20 Standards for Charity Accountability.
CHF reports that, across the nation, mobile clinics and fixed-site health centers bring comprehensive care - medical, mental health, case management, nutrition services, women's health care, chronic disease management and much more to low-income, at-risk families. Each of the organization's programs are affiliated with an academic medical center or a federally qualified health center, ensuring patient access to medical specialists and clinical oversight. Additionally, each CHF program establishes relationships with social service providers (private and government) in their local communities to help meet its patients' complex needs. The organization's Healthy and Ready to Learn (HRL) initiative brings health care directly to elementary schools to screen for health barriers to learning, and provides pathways to overcome them. The program raises awareness of parents, educators, and healthcare providers about the impact of health issues on a child's ability to learn. In addition, the development of a Healthy and Ready to Learn Resource and Training Center was launched in 2017. Targeting educators and families, this Center acts as both a repository of useful information and a training and support resource available to all who interact with children pre-K through 5th grades.
