The National Urban League (NUL) works to promote economic empowerment, equality, and social justice. Note 3: In response to the above financial summary, NUL states that, "The League uses a 'change in net assets from operations' as the measure of net assets that are available to support services in future periods. This 'Measure of Operations' excludes gains or losses on interest rate swaps, certain pension-related changes, the excess or deficit from the application of the League’s endowment spending policy rate, and Board-designated contributions. It does include a 'Net Assets released from restrictions' number when the restrictions are satisfied. The 'Change in Net Assets from Operations' in 2023 was a positive $710,586.”
