Marine Toys for Tots Foundation (MTFTF) supports the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program by raising funds to provide toys to supplement the collections of local Toys for Tots campaigns. The organization also provides administrative, advisory, financial, logistic and promotional support to local Toys for Tots campaigns; defrays the costs of conducting the annual Toys for Tots campaign; offers other support that the U.S. Marine Corps, as a federal agency, cannot provide; and conducts public education and information programs about Toys for Tots that call the general public to action in support of this community program. In 2019, MTFTF reports it distributed 18.6 million toys and books to 7.3 million less fortunate children. The organization also provided leadership and managerial oversight for the Marine Toys for Tots Program which included 807 local campaigns that took place in all 50 States, District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, and Guam. Lastly, MTFTF reports that 1.4 million books were distributed through the Toys for Tots Literacy Program to economically disadvantaged children throughout the country. Some ($3,625,301 or 35%) of MTFTF?s program activities are carried out in conjunction with fund raising appeals.
