As a result of the high cost of living and
seasonal jobs, Summit County can be a difficult place to live. As the county’s
one-stop-shop for social determinants of health services, FIRC brings its
mission to life through four core programs: Financial Empowerment, Food
Systems, Peer Community, and Community Health. Over 10,000 Summit County
residents and workers are impacted by the organization’s services each year,
which include food assistance, peer supports for Spanish-speakers, parenting
services, health insurance and public benefits assistance, emergency financial
assistance, family-centered financial stability services, and more.
